| Therapy Place, Inc., established 7-01-2000, offers mental health
therapy for individuals, families, and couples in an office or
home setting. Group therapy and/or support groups will be
developed as needed. Online Services are also
available and are outlined below.
Payment Options
We currently accept Medicare,
Medicaid, Title 19 (Iowa Plan), Midlands Choice, Principal,
Wellmark BlueCross/BlueShield (HMO programs), First Health, Fortis, Tri-Care
(formerly Champus), Private Healthcare Systems, American
Psychiatric Systems, United Behavior Health, Accountable Health
Plans of America, and private pay arrangements for therapy
services. The insurance programs still pending as of this time are
Mutual of Omaha and Cigna Behavioral Health. Other services not covered by insurance will be
negotiated with the client.
Please call if your insurance is not listed, as out of network
benefits are sometimes available for certain services.
On-Line Services
We are currently developing
on-line supportive services through the Internet called
Professional Solutions. This service is designed to offer
professional problem solving, education, and advice for the
specific life concerns of a client through emails. An alternative
to in-office therapy, this service is designed to provide
assistance for those persons who need sound advice on a specific
issue and who do not feel the need for more comprehensive therapy
services at this time. This service is NOT therapy, but rather
practical advice from trained professionals for specific life
situations. This type of service is currently being offered on
both coasts and is designed to reach those individuals who may
find it difficult to commit to weekly therapy sessions due to busy
schedules and daily demands, but would benefit from brief and
immediate problem solving for a specific life concern or
situation.
The cost for this service will
be negotiated with each client at a set price per month with an
established number of email responses from the facilitator agreed
upon beforehand with the client OR a set price per email agreed
upon beforehand and sighed in a contract between the client and
therapist. The service will be supervised by Deborra M. Smith, MSW,
LISW, and Mary L. Oetter, MSW, LISW. Trained facilitators will be added as the need
presents itself. Your name, address, and phone will be required
for monthly billing purposes, but your email address is the only
requirement needed to actually provide this confidential service
along with a written consent and signed contract. Please contact
